A Reviving Rain of Faith

A Reviving Rain Of Faith | Pentecostal Church | Bible Verses

The power of faith and the word of God is beautifully illustrated in the story of Elijah from 1 Kings 18:36-45. In this passage, we witness a powerful demonstration of God's presence and the transformation it can bring to the hearts of people.

In the spiritual realm, we are like the soil where the seed of God's word is sown. Our hearts, like the earth, must be ready and receptive for that seed to flourish. Just as different types of soil produce various outcomes for the seed, our readiness and faith play a significant role in the growth of God's word in our lives.

At Calvary Chapel, we are intentional about preaching the word of God. We believe that there is no story or illustration that can compare to the power of God's word. When His word is preached and prophetic words are spoken, the seed is sown in our lives, and it's up to us to lay claim to it, mix our faith with it, and believe in the promises it holds.

However, revelation alone is not enough for true revival. We need the rain of God's presence to bring the word to life. Zechariah 10:1 reminds us to ask for the rain, the outpouring of God's Spirit, to make the word fruitful in our lives.

In conclusion, just as rain is essential for the growth of seeds into mighty trees, we need the rain of God's presence in our lives to see His word manifest and experience true revival. Let's be open to His presence and invite the rain of His Spirit into our hearts and our church in Canberra.
