Deaf Ministry
Deaf Ministry
“Outreaching Hands” is the Deaf Ministry at Calvary Chapel. We would love to welcome you if you are looking for somewhere to fellowship. Our goal is to provide Deaf and hard-of-hearing persons the opportunity to receive God’s Word in their own language; to begin and develop a personal relationship with Jesus and to be an active part of a growing group of Christians seeking to serve Jesus Christ. We offer an environment where communication is top priority so that the Deaf and hard-of-hearing might experience fellowship, encouragement and understanding of the Bible, and God’s purpose and plan for their lives.
It is our desire to reach out to the Deaf in our community.
Romans 10:14 tells us, “How shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” God has blessed individuals with many different talents and it is our job to use whatever He has given us for His Kingdom. Our burden is to reach those individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Sunday 9:15am service as well as our Wednesday combined service at Calvary Chapel are interpreted and live-streamed to give the opportunity to worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth.
The opportunity to unite through praise and worship to the Lord is a part of every service and activity at Calvary Chapel. The Hearing in the church are encouraged to learn Sign Language to be able to fellowship with their brothers and sisters who cannot hear. Both the Hearing and Deaf can share the same powerful Spirit of God that knows no boundaries!
